For instance, Apple was at about $125 per share before they released the Iphone a matter of months ago... It's about $170 now. The stock price may already be adjusted for the release of the new product, though.... Assume many people have the same idea as you and have already bought the stock, artificially inflating its price... And then the product does not do well... The stock will go down.
