How can you better your chances on whose going to win if you bet on a sports team?

Former gambler here, and I could write multiple paragraphs on the subject which I don’t have the energy for right now. You always want to try to find a PARTICULAR tipping point and ALWAYS know that the spread should NOT be a part of your equation. 75% of the time the spread doesn’t come into play, all sports. So if you have a football team +4, it more likely that would win the game outright than it is that the 4 point spread would give you the win. That’s the huge secret the boys in Vegas don’t want you to know. Don’t get all caught up, in fact don’t even concern yourself, with the spread. Also, I always liked to look at what the public was doing, what percentage were going for a particular team vs. the other. If you see a game where like 72% of people are taking a particular team, GO THE OTHER WAY. Vegas doesn’t make money giving winnings to 72% of the general public.
