    hello mr. judge

mr judge sits in a chair faced the other way, the teacher picks a child to disquise his or her voice and say “Hello Mr. Judge.” Then Mr. Judge picks and if he is incorrect he has to give up his seat and so on.

35 Pile Up, Whack A Rim PimTaugh, Suck Eggs (the 5 yearold to 10 year ancient version), Cheeky Mister Dai Yo, Bingle Bangle Bingo League, 1 2 3 Fun House, Goers and Stoppers, Hit Me, Sucker Punch II….

(Can you tell I’m making them up now? xD)

Hm, but seriously? When you mentioned heads up 7 up my small heart filled with nostolgia. How about freeze tag but incorporating words as the ‘freezers’?

    Excellent luck, honey!

Musical chairs might be fun or Simon Says, perhaps you can do a modified version of the game.

what time is it Mr Wolf works well with this age and a largish group. (if you don’t know – pm me and I’ll clarify it)
Have you gone to genkienglish(dot)com – lots of game thoughts for shogakko.
If the vocab is fruits or colors – then I like to play a simple comeptition game where I split them into two groups – write numbers (pts) under each flashcard on the board – then have two kids janken – winner picks a card and his team get those points.

  13. deluge14 on: 21 January 2010 at 11:00 am

hey!that reminds me of doggie doggie wheres your bone =^.^= i reckon its the same thing but its a bear with honey and not a dog and a bone

  14. Babisinge on: 21 January 2010 at 11:43 am

Stuck in the mud is another excellent one.

  15. Babisinge on: 21 January 2010 at 11:45 am

When this is done the teacher tells everyone to open there eyes and tell the bear to WAKE UP!, the bear then says WHO STOLE MY HONEY?! and has three chances to guess who took the object. If they guess right the person who took the object then becomes the bear. If they guess incorrect the bear gets to nominate someone else to be the bear.

  16. Babisinge on: 21 January 2010 at 12:24 pm

The children sit in a circle and the teacher selects a child to be the bear; who has to pretend to be asleep in the middle of the circle with an object e.g. a tennis ball in front of them. The teacher then selects a student to quietly take the ball away from in front of the bear and return to their original place in the circle with the stolen object out of sight.

Hand games like slide and rockin robin (2, 3 , or 4 people) were staples at my school. Hand games like that where you sing along might help with English pronunciations?

Oh..one last thing! We called it “Proximity Sacrifice” because of 2 reasons. 1] Proximity comes from the fact that you designate a relatively small space for those who aren’t it to go around, so you have to get creative in your movements to keep from getting tagged (the really fun cardio part) 2] The ‘Sacrifice’ part comes from the fact that those who aren’t it can ’sacrifice’ someone else and push them in front to keep yourself from getting tagged.

  21. MaKaye55 on: 21 January 2010 at 3:57 pm

post continued–the game is fantastic for cardio because you jump, go, duck for your life to keep from getting tagged. The person who’s it can do whatever they want–the can try to fake you out, lunge out randomly (you can make certain rules so it doesn’t get too out of hand for the kids–mind you, we’re “huge kids” playing this so there were minimal rules) It’s so much fun, i recommened people to play this if you want to incorporate exercise into a game. P.S. don’t play it on hardwood floors!

    w w w . t u b v i e w s . n e t Finally a way to have control over where your video is shown when people are searching Youtube!

    Nice.

  23. MaKaye55 on: 21 January 2010 at 4:40 pm

Well, lol, my friends and I made up this game, which we still play–it needs minimal supplies (just a blind fold, and a cushioned mat): We call it “proximity suicide” so for the purposes of your first grade class you can rename. The purpose of the game is to not get tagged by the person who is blind-folded; if you are tagged, you’re it and you then become blindfolded. You must designate a honestly small area for those who aren’t blind-folded to maneuver around (THE FUN PART!)–the game is fantastic..
